Departmental Facilities/Services: The Department of Anesthesia was established in 2019. The department has well-equipped operation theaters with the facilities of a central oxygen supply and PSA plant. The department provides general anesthesia and all kinds of regional anesthesia for surgeries. The department provides outdoor services as PAC and pain clinics. The department has a skill lab with the latest resuscitation mannequins and other hands-on models. The department also has a well-equipped CSSD facility.The department is running primary postgraduate DNB course. The department follows an integrated approach and standard protocols for patient care, education and research. Teaching activities include seminars, journal clubs, case discussions, tutorials, faculty lectures, etc.The mission of the department of anesthesiology and critical care at ASMC Firozabad is to provide state-of-the-art medical care that is safe and friendly for patients with surgical and other disorders. Delivery of safe and quality anesthesia care. Management of the surgical intensive case unit, post-operative pain relief, and BLS/ACLS training for MBBS/SR/JR/health care workers. To cultivate, encourage, and sustain an attitude of basic and advanced scientific research at all levels.
Future Prospects: Eight modular operation theaters are soon going to be functional. The department plans to have a dedicated operation theater for pain clinic procedures, well equipped with C-arms and other facilities. The department also plans to start the MD Anaesthesiology course next year.
