Departmental Facilities/Services: Forensic Medicine is a crucial subject that involves the application of medical knowledge in the administration of justice. Forensic experts specialize in a variety of areas, including investigating crime scenes, performing autopsies on dead bodies, examining victims and accused individuals in medico-legal cases, and estimating the age of individuals etc. About the department The Department of Forensic Medicine at Autonomous State Medical College in Firozabad offers teaching in this critical area to undergraduate students in their MBBS 2nd professional and final professional (part 1) classes. The department is equipped with modern amenities, including well-furnished faculty rooms and offices, a fully operational library, and a laboratory for undergraduate students. We also have a spacious demo room with audio-visual systems and a well-organized museum with models, specimens, weapons, and photographs to help students engage with the subject. For postgraduate training, the department has a research lab with equipment and instruments for forensic anthropometry, serology, histopathology, and more.
